This custom kiosk system will provide travelers with up to the minute information while traveling in the Boston Metro area as well as current information on events in Boston. These kiosks meet the highest standards and will be one of the most advanced kiosk projects in the country. ADA, UL compliance, and a 42 inch plasma screen above each kiosk. • Each kiosks has a full sized printer with a retract feature. If the print out is not taken in 30 seconds the print out is pulled into the kiosks and deposited in an internal waste basket. Result: no trash cans needed in the terminal.

  • Each kiosk has an alarm system that only allows the designated person to unlock and open the kiosk after they have entered a password. If someone unlocks the kiosk without a password the kiosks will verbally tell them to get away from the kiosks and send an email to security. There is the ability to also send a message to a pager.

  • The Plasma screens have been programmed in machine code to turn off every night and come back on in the morning.
